BIO
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco (USF), earned my Ph.D. in 1996 from California School of Professional Psychology, an APA-accredited psychology program, where my doctoral research examined the deeper, emotional aspects of resilience. After graduating I received my postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco. In addition to private practice, I spent over a decade as an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco, teaching in the undergraduate Department of Psychology. I am a member of various professional organizations including, American Psychological Association, Division 39 and Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP).
On a more personal note, my family is biracial. I am the mother of three children, two biological and one adopted child. I have spent over twenty years personally and professionally exploring issues related to child development, adoption, neurodiversity, parenting, divorce, and family dynamics.
