ABOUT
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of California and trained to work with adults and adolescents seeking help with a wide range of psychological and interpersonal issues. It is my belief that fear, sadness, alienation, painful relationships and other causes of deep emotional distress do not need to be permanent. I spent years researching the deeper, emotional aspects of resilience, and believe strongly that the confidential, safe, professional, boundaried, deeply personal nature of a therapeutic relationship is uniquely designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, a greater sense of self worth, and more flexibility in all areas of your life.
I am also deeply passionate about helping parents discover and incorporate psychological insight about their child into their parenting. Tantrums, power struggles, out of control behavior, separation anxiety and/or emotional withdrawal are not uncommon, but when more conventional parenting strategies fail to make an impact, parents can be left feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, fearful and alone. In my work, I help parents combine newfound insight into creative parenting strategies.
Jenn has been extremely helpful to me for a wide range of issues involving my three preteen and teenage children. I have consulted with her regarding school fit and learning differences, mental health, school refusal, adoption, and behavioral issues. Drawing from decades of both personal and professional experiences, Jenn consistently provides concrete, practical ideas that benefitted my kids’ and my lives. She is thoughtful, non-judgmental, encouraging, and helped me achieve a deeper understanding of my kids and how to help them.
